SASO EER Certification For Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has announced new Energy Efficiency Labeling Regulations for certain electrical and electronic (EE) products. Manufacturers and importers must ensure their products are compliant with the new regulations before accessing the Saudi Arabia market.
The new Energy Efficiency Labelling Regulations (EER) require the energy efficiency to be displayed on the following products:
- Refrigerators (including the refrigerator and/or freezer function)
- Air conditioners
- The Washing machines
- Electric motors
- Lighting products
SASO EER Certification last for a period of one year
For Electric Motors, the rated efficiency and the code of IE-Nominal limits (%) (IE, International Energy-efficiency Class) shall be durably marked on the rating plate, for example “IE2 – 84.0 %.
